Zion studied at Spartanburg High School in Spartanburg, South Carolina during his high school days, and has already made a name for himself. Studied at Duke University in college, averaged 22.2 points per game as a freshman, led the school team to 22 consecutive victories, and won multiple awards. His physical talent and amazing performance on the court have attracted the attention and discussion of the media and NBA scouts. In the summer of 2019, he officially announced his participation in the NBA draft.
In the 2019 NBA Draft, he was selected by the New Orleans Pelicans with the first pick in the first round and became the No. 1 pick. Due to a knee meniscus injury, he made his career debut on January 23, 2020, and scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists, showing a mature side of play, amazing physical fitness and jumping ability.
