Although Svyatoslav Mikhailiuk’s wingspan is lower than the average guard, he has excellent height conditions, and also has good explosive power and speed. He’s also an efficient outside spot-up shooter who can space the team in half-court offenses and create a catch-up threat in transition. He is still a competitive defender, but his wingspan restricts his influence and comprehensiveness on the defensive end. His speed on the defensive end is not fast, but he is active in supplementary defense and has a relatively stable defensive style. Gambling steals.
In the 2018 NBA Draft, he was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 47th pick in the second round. Has played for the Lakers and Pistons. On March 13, 2021, Beijing time, the Pistons traded Mikhailiuk to the Thunder. On August 31, 2021, Sviatoslav Mikhailiuk signed a two-year contract with the Toronto Raptors for $3.6 million.
