In high school, Seth Curry was selected to the North Carolina All-NBA Team, the All-American Team, and the SCAA All-American First Team. After graduating from high school, Curry chose to attend Liberty University. During his freshman season at Liberty, he led all freshmen in the country with 20.2 points per game. Curry broke the Big Southern freshman single-season scoring record. He wore No. 30 with the Liberty, the same number his father and brother wore throughout their careers.
After the 2008-09 season, Curry transferred from Liberty University to Duke University. At the end of his senior year, Curry was named to the All-ACC First Team and was named a Second Team All-American by The Sporting News.
Seth Curry is a combo guard who can play point guard, is good at pick-and-rolls, and is more comfortable making shots independently. The problem is that he can’t guard against shooting guards, and he is not a real point guard. He will be hit by opponents in singles and backs. His lack of height is his shortcoming.
Seth Curry was undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft. On August 23, 2013, he signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Golden State Warriors. On November 18, 2020, Curry was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for the draft rights to Josh Richardson and Tyler Bay.
