Monk participated in the Nike Global Challenge, the McDonald’s All-American Challenge and the Jordan Brand Classic when he was in high school. In college, he studied at the University of Kentucky. He scored 47 points in a single game and scored 30+ times many times, showing amazing scoring ability. In the 2016-17 season, he won the Jerry West (that is, the best shooting guard) award. Then gave up the last three years of college studies and participated in the NBA draft.
