Grant studied at Syracuse University and scored 12 points and 6 rebounds in his sophomore year. He then participated in the NBA draft in 2014 and was selected by the 76ers with the 39th pick in the second round, starting his NBA career.
Grant’s low pick may come from not making a single 3-pointer as a sophomore. However, in the two years when he has been growing 18-20 in the NBA, he can shoot close to 40% of the three-pointers, and he can score mid-range and three-pointers as weapons. The bad thing is that as a forward, he doesn’t finish well at the basket. Not only that, but his shots from close to the frame are even more hip. Maybe Grant will try to push iron more in the summer to increase his confrontation ability.
