James Johnson entered the NBA through the draft in 2009 and has played for the Bulls, Raptors, Kings, Grizzlies, Heat and Mavericks. On March 26, 2021, Johnson was traded to the Pelicans by the Mavericks. On August 6, 2021, Johnson signed with the Brooklyn Nets.
