Isaac Okoro, born on January 26, 2001), native of Powder Springs, Georgia, is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers.
Okoro played basketball at McEcheon High School in Georgia for four years and helped the team win the state championship. He studied at Auburn University and averaged 12.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2 assists per game. He participated in the NBA draft and was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the fifth overall pick in the first round.
The Cavaliers have accumulated too many talents, which is not conducive to his growth. The ones standing in front of him are Garland, Sexton, and Mobley. As a swingman, Okoro has tonnage and is slightly short in height. His “three-point ability” in his rookie season can almost be ignored. His impact on the penalty area is not ideal, and he has no mid-range skills. As a high-ranking rookie, Okoro’s development direction is more inclined to be a qualified 3D player rather than the core of the team. He has excellent athleticism and has a lot of room for improvement if he develops it.
