Darano Banton is an outside player who is not very good at shooting and can only score by playing inside and singles. But the upside is a good passer who can finish passes and assists well, and his size can help him rebound, push transition offense and fast break. Although Banton’s personal explosive power is not strong, as a ball holder, his speed is not slow. Even with his lackluster shooting ability, Banton can use his strong passing skills to establish himself on the court.
Banton was selected by the Toronto Raptors with the 46th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. On August 14, 2021, signed a multi-year contract with the Raptors.
