In college, he studied at the University of Oklahoma. In his freshman season, Griffin averaged 14.7 points and 9.1 rebounds per game; in his sophomore season, he scored 30 double-doubles and averaged 22.7 points and 14.4 rebounds per game.
In the first round of the 2009 NBA draft, he was selected by the Los Angeles Clippers. Griffin suffered a stress fracture in his rookie season and was reimbursed for the season. In the 2010-11 season, he made his debut and scored a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds. In the 2011 All-Star Slam Dunk Contest, Feiyue Car won the championship. In July 2012, he reached a five-year, $95 million contract extension with the Clippers. In November 2016, he became the fastest player in NBA history to score 9,000 points, 4,000 rebounds and 1,500 assists in the regular season of his career since Bird Bird.
Griffin is a short power forward, but his jumping ability, excellent dribbling skills and shooting skills make up for his shortcomings, so that he will not lose the wind at the 4th position. He can make changes of direction with the ball, and he can make a one-stop layup with the ball. He can even show amazing strength in outside shots. On January 30, 2018, Griffin was traded to the Pistons by the Clippers. Due to injuries, Griffin’s state plummeted.
On March 8, 2021, free agent Griffin signed a basic salary contract with the Nets.
