In February 2013, Wiggins scored 57 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks in the high school league, creating his highest score in a single game during his time at Huntington High School.
Studied at the University of Kansas in college, Wiggins averaged 17.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 32.8 minutes per game, shooting 44.8% from the field and 34.1% from the three-point line. However, in the NCAA Tournament, Wiggins’ University of Kansas City lost to Stanford University in the second round.
Wiggins was selected by the Cavaliers with the No. 1 pick in the first round of the 2014 NBA Draft, and then Wiggins was traded to the Timberwolves by the Cavaliers.
