Pokusevski started his basketball career at the age of 17. Before entering the NBA, he worked in overseas teams. Made his debut in 2019 and became the youngest Euroleague player in team history. In 11 games in the Greek A2 League, he averaged 10.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.8 blocks in 23.1 minutes per game, shooting 40.4% from the field, 32.1% from three-pointers, and 78.3% from free throws %. At 2.13 meters, he has a certain ability to hold the ball and shoot, and is full of talent in the forward position.
In the 2020 NBA draft, he was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the 17th overall pick in the first round, and was then traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Signed with the Thunder on December 9, 2020.
