Sierra-Cascade Adventure Racing Sports presents The Sunrise Over Sonoma Trail Run. The run will be held at Lake Sonoma from the Liberty
Glenn Campground.  Lake Sonoma is located in the scenic coastal foothills of Sonoma County, California and provides rich natural diversity
surrounded by world famous vineyards. The course will feature mainly single-track trails with challenging climbs and descents. The course
provides beautiful scenery and local attractions so plan to stay and enjoy many wonderful vineyards within a few miles following the event.

Sierra-Cascade Adventure Racing Sports provides scenic courses, well-stocked aid stations, clearly-marked trails and GPS-measured courses.
All participants will receive custom shirts and racer bags, an award ceremony with Refreshments and raffle giveaways will follow the event.
Awards will be given to the top three athletes in each 10 year age-groups: 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. The overall
top 3 male and female athletes will receive a complimentary single event entry into their choice of races directed by
Sierra-Cascade Adventure Racing Sports.

Packet Pickup, Race-Day Registration/Check-In and Parking

Packet pick-up and registration will be on race day from 7:00 am to 7:45 am at the day use picnic area of the park. Signs will be marked at the
entrance leading you to the Start/Finish and Parking area.

First Aid, Water Stations, Restrooms and Spectators

First Aid, Water and Refreshment Stations will available at the Start/Finish, with water and refreshment stations mid-way through 10 miler.
Because of the remoteness of the trail, only first aid will be available on the 5 miler, so please carry your own water/energy drink. Park restroom
facilities and portable toilets will be available at the Start/Finish area. Spectators are welcome and can enjoy the best viewing of the event from
the Start/Finish area.

Registration, Race Swap, Etc.

Registration is through www.active.com.  If the event is not filled, you can register in person during posted racer check-in. Confirmed athletes
may switch race distances. Email us at info@scarsports.com, 48 hours in advance with your name and the distance you wish to compete. We
cannot switch athletes on the day of races. Unfortunately, we cannot offer race refunds or transfer funds to other races events.  

Rules and Regulations

Run numbers must be visible during the entire run and when crossing the finish line. Please bring out everything you take on the run with you!
For the safety of all, we do not allow dogs, baby/child joggers, Ipods, MP3 players, etc.

Directions

Lake Sonoma is outside of Geyserville, about an hour and a half north of San Francisco via the 101.  From the SF Bay Area, head north the 101
north to the Dry Creek Rd exit in Healdsburg, and go left.  Stay on Dry Creek Rd.  The road will makes a 90 degree turn at the base of the dam.
Stay on this road up the hill to the bridge. Continue two more miles until you see a sign for the entrance to Liberty Glen Campground. Turn left
into the Liberty Glen Campground and stay to the left. The racer-check in and start/finish will be at the end of Parking Lot D & E. No fee for
parking.
