Sierra-Cascade Adventure Racing Sports presents the Mt. Tamalpais 10k Trail Run at Mount Tamalpais State Park. The course features beautiful
rolling trails with unmatched, spectacular views of the Pacific Coast and Bay Area. The 10k is a scenic and challenging course.  Trail terrain may
include sand, roots, rocks and mud. Be sure to register early as we are only allowed a limited number of runners!

Sierra-Cascade Adventure Racing Sports provides scenic courses, well-stocked aid stations, clearly-marked trails and GPS-measured courses. All
participants will receive custom shirts and racer bags, an award ceremony with refreshments and raffle giveaways will follow the event. Awards will
be given to the top three athletes in each 10 year age-groups: 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
The overall top 3 male
and female athletes will receive a complimentary single event entry into their choice of races directed by Sierra-Cascade
Adventure Racing Sports.

Packet Pickup, Race-Day Registration/Check-In and Parking

Packet pick-up and registration will be on Race day from 7:00 am to 8:30 am at the Mountain Theater. Signs will be marked at the entrance
leading you to the Start/Finish and Parking area at Rock Springs.

First Aid, Water Stations, Restrooms and Spectators

First Aid, Water and Refreshment Stations will available at the Start/Finish, with water and refreshment stations mid-way through 10k. Park
restroom facilities and portable toilets will be available at the Start/Finish area. Spectators are welcome and can enjoy the best viewing of the
event from the Start/Finish area.

Registration, Race Swap, Refunds, Etc.

Registration is through www.active.com.  If the event is not filled, you can register in person during posted racer check-in. Confirmed athletes may
switch races distances. Email us at
info@scarsports.com, 48 hours in advance with your name and the distance you wish to compete. We can not
switch athletes on the day of races. Unfortunately, we cannot offer race refunds or transfer funds to other races events.  

Rules and Regulations

Run numbers must be visible during the entire run and when crossing the finish line. Please bring out everything you take on the run with you! For
the safety of all, we do not allow dogs, baby/child joggers, Ipods, MP3 players, etc.

Directions

From the north or south of Mill Valley: From Hwy. 101, take the exit for Route 1/Stinson Beach and follow signs for State Route 1 which will bring
you to the intersection of Tam Junction in Mill Valley. Turn Left at the stop light, staying on Rt. 1 toward Mt. Tamalpais and drive 2.6 miles and
make a right onto Panoramic following the signs toward Mt. Tamalpais and Muir Woods. (If you stay straight you will go to Stinson Beach on Rt. 1)
From this turn off you will drive .8 miles to "4 Corners" where you will proceed straight (though it appears to veer to the left a bit). (If you make a
sharp left you will go to Muir Woods, and a slight right will take you on Sequoia Valley Rd back down to Mill Valley). The middle road appears to go
straight and a bit to the left. This road points to Mt. Tamalpais and Stinson Beach.From 4 Corners you will drive 4.5 miles up the mountain (at 1.7
miles you will see Mt. Home Inn on the right and a sign for Mt. Tamalpais State Park on the left) until you see the Pantoll Ranger Station on the left.
Here you will turn right up the mountain taking Pantoll Road and following signs for Mt. Tamalpais.  From the split at Pantoll Ranger Station:  At 1.0
mile you will see Trojan Point Parking Lot on the right. At 1.4 mile you will see Rock Springs Parking Lot in front of you. Park at the Rock Springs
parking lot. Signs will lead you to the Start/Finish Area.
